Code of Conduct

Norgesprofil aims to be a responsible and sustainable partner in the promotional products industry. We work to ensure that the products we offer are manufactured under safe and decent working conditions, with respect for people, the environment and the laws of the country of production. Our Code of Conduct describes the requirements we set – both for ourselves and for the suppliers we work with.

These guidelines are based on the ILO Core Conventions and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs).

Compliance with laws

Our suppliers shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the country where production, storage and transport take place – including requirements relating to working conditions, health and safety, environment and emissions, wages and working hours, and product requirements. Where internationally recognised human rights and labour standards provide stronger protection than local legislation, those standards shall prevail.

Working conditions and human rights

We expect our suppliers to ensure that:

  • workers are treated fairly and with respect
  • all work is performed voluntarily – no form of forced labour
  • child labour does not occur, and workers under the age of 18 do not perform hazardous work
  • no one is subjected to discrimination or harassment
  • working conditions are safe and healthy
  • wages and working hours comply with applicable laws and industry standards
  • workers are free to organise without fear of retaliation
  • workers can safely report concerns or misconduct

Environment and sustainability

We expect our suppliers to:

  • comply with national environmental laws and regulations
  • handle waste and chemicals in a safe manner
  • reduce environmental impact where possible – for example through energy efficiency, waste reduction and improved packaging

We encourage the use of more sustainable materials, but do not require specific certifications.

Business ethics

We expect our suppliers to:

  • act with integrity and honesty
  • reject corruption and bribery
  • be able to provide information about production locations where relevant for safety or regulatory requirements
  • work to ensure that their own suppliers and manufacturers follow the same principles

Cooperation and continuous improvement

We value good, long-term cooperation built on transparency. Should any challenges arise, we expect to be informed so that we can find solutions together. Upon request, suppliers shall be able to provide relevant documentation supporting compliance with these guidelines, such as certifications or audit reports.

In the event of a breach, we will request an explanation, request a proposed improvement and agree on what is to be done – and by when. Our goal is improvement, not termination.

Our suppliers confirm that they have read and will work in accordance with this standard through a dedicated form. This ensures a shared understanding of what responsible business conduct means to us – and a more open and responsible supply chain.
